We are excited to announce this year's schedule for the Whittier Stake's annual Women's Conference!
The conference will be held on
Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 9am-1pm
at the Stake Center.
Conference Schedule
9:00am - Chapel Session
9:45am - 1st set of classes
10:45am - 2nd set of classes
11:45am - 3rd set of classes
12:30pm - Luncheon
Please feel free to sign up and attend all or part of the day, what ever you are able to make.

The following is a list of the classes that will be offered and a brief description. After reading about the classes please click on the link and sign up for the classes you are interested in.

Classes
Classes will repeat throughout the day. They will be presented in 3, hour-long sessions in English with Spanish translation available.
1. "GREAT COOKING IDEAS - COMBO CLASS" By Earleen Smith and Mandy Trimmell
First you will learn tips on how to cook for only one or two people. Next, you will learn some easy crock pot recipes for busy weekdays or Sunday dinners. Lastly, you will receive some healthy snack ideas. Click Here to View Recipes Handout
2. "LIVING GARDENS - GROWING WHAT YOU EAT" By Laurel Le Cheminant
In this class you will focus on getting started with a home garden with a variety of different options. Come hear about tips and the "how-to's" of getting started growing what you eat, no matter where you live.
3. "EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS" By Kathy Glancy
Come and join us for a class on what to do the first three minutes, first three hours, first three days, and first three months following a disaster.
4. "FAMILY HISTORY 101" By Amy McKeon
We all know we are commanded to seek after our kindred dead, but where do you start? Come to this class and be inspired and guided on how to get started in family history work and learn some of the newest sites to aid you in your journey.
5. "CPR AND BASIC FIRST AID" By Sue Montierth
This class will cover the basics of CPR and many of the day to day basic first aid needs. This is somethings that every woman needs to know for herself, her family and for life in general. As we gain this vital education we will also gain the confidence to be able to step forward and help when needed or as the Spirit directs.
6. "HAIR AND COSMETIC TIPS - ON A BUDGET" By Jolene Cormier and Irene Howard
Everyone wants to look their best. Sometimes in this economy it can be hard. This class will cover simple hair and makeup tips with the emphasis on how to do it as economical as possible.
7. "NEARER MY GOD TO THEE" By Sherri Jackman
What is the best use of our time? Discuss how to make room for the influence of the Savior in our daily, busy lives. Through the Savior, even our trials or struggles can turn to peace and joy.
